INTELSYS – SAP SOLUTIONS PROVIDER
Case Study
Being one of the leading SAP consulting firms in Estonia, INTELSYS serves both local and international companies as well as state institutions. From the initial conversations with INTELSYS, it was clear that we would be adapting content from their wide service portfolio which is all about SAP solutions. We worked closely to craft the existing information into a system with the consistency and structure necessary to make navigation easy and information accessible.
A lot of service oriented corporate sites feel pretty same to us. They tend to be simply templated, presenting the same information in the same ways. We didn’t want to put our energy into creating the best “us, too” website that we could; we wanted to craft a digital experience that would be unique and, perhaps, a step forward for the industry.
There is a moment when the rope is about to drop on an epic powder day – that moment was our motivation and inspiration for the site. Everything should be helping move the consumer towards that moment, and nothing should get in that moment’s way. We wanted to make sure the needs of the user were always first. We focused on keeping essential features accessible at all times. We kept the homepage clean, with an emphasis on the most timely content. Above all, we wanted to ensure that whatever device a consumer viewed the site on, they’d get the best experience possible.
Inspired by the modernist architecture, we set out to create a clean, minimalist design. Typography and a precise grid would be our focus. We would embrace the nature of the form, favoring blocks of color that could be achieved cheaply with CSS, rather than relying on images for texture. Animations should be subtle but memorable. It was clear to us that the content on the existing INTELSYS site was a bit of a mess; years of throwing in new pages had resulted in a bit of a spaghetti-ball. Creating a successful new website would require an overhaul of the information architecture of the site. To ensure a focus on the most important features, we started from scratch and built up an entirely new IA.
